American to Announce Labor Deal

Management and labor employees at the American Airlines maintenance and engineering base in Kansas City will announce a significant financial achievement today at the maintenance facility located at Kansas City Municipal Airport. American continues to buck the outsourcing trend within its maintenance operations group, including its key operations at MCI. At a time when U.S. airlines are outsourcing large sections of their maintenance work overseas to third-party providers, American is keeping between 80 and 90 percent of its work in-house.
