Bombardier Ends Grob Learjet 85 Deal

Cutting its ties with German aircraft maker Grob Aerospace, Bombardier Learjet is assuming full responsibility for detail design and manufacturing of all primary and secondary structures on the all-composite Learjet 85. Bombardier Business Aircraft President Steve Ridolfi notes the “uncertainty surrounding Grob’s insolvency” as the reason for taking over the program on Sept. 17. He reiterated Bombardier’s commitment to keeping to the schedule for the Learjet 85 program, which is in the final stages of a joint definition phase..
