Aviation navigation services company Garmin Ltd. made its second acquisition of the new year by paying $45 million for a weather services provider. Garmin on Monday announced the acquisition of Digital Cyclone, Minnetonka, Minn., a provider of weather services to consumers and pilots. DCI offers the “My-Cast 5” weather alert service for mobile phones through national and regional wireless carriers.
