Frontier Airlines Debuts Upgraded DIRECTV(R) Lineup

DENVER, June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The view just got a little better for Frontier Airlines customers. Today the airline announced it has upgraded its DIRECTV(R) channel lineup to include seven popular new networks. The 24-channel lineup will now feature MTV, CBS, FOX, USA, Comedy Central, ESPNU and the CW. The new channels are now available in all of Frontier's mainline aircraft.

"Frontier Airlines prides itself in providing customers an entertaining travel experience," said Frontier Airlines Director of Advertising Diane Willmann. "The seven new channels are a great addition to our inflight entertainment lineup and will provide our customers the variety in programming they've been looking for."

Last month, Frontier also introduced new variable pricing for access to its in-flight entertainment and information system. Customers can now expect to pay a $3.99 or $5.99 basic access fee, depending on the length or type of the flight. Destinations included in the $3.99 pricing are: Albuquerque, Anchorage, Boise, Billings, Cabo San Lucas, Cancun, Cozumel, Dallas, El Paso, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Mazatlan, Minneapolis, Oklahoma City, Omaha, Phoenix, Puerto Vallarta, Salt Lake City, San Jose (Costa Rica) and Tucson. Basic access fees for all other destinations will be $5.99. The price for pay-per-view movies will remain at $8 for all flights.

Frontier's inflight entertainment system is provided by Florida-based LiveTV, LLC.
