WASHINGTON,
Dec. 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Transportation Security
Administration (TSA) today named Kathleen (Lenz) Petrowsky as the acting
federal security director (FSD) for
Chicago O'Hare International Airport
(ORD). Petrowsky has been serving as the deputy federal security director
(DFSD) for ORD since
August 2005. In her new role, she will oversee all TSA
operations at O'Hare airport.
"Kathleen is a proven leader and an outstanding selection for the
challenges that go with one of the busiest airports in the nation," said
Michael J. Restovich, TSA assistant administrator for Security Operations.
Petrowsky has been with TSA for five years. Before working as the deputy
federal security director at ORD, Kathleen was the assistant federal security
director of Operations, overseeing Human Resources, Finance, the 24-hour
Operations Center, Customer Service and Stakeholder Liaison offices. Prior to
joining TSA, she was with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as the
federal security manager assigned to O'Hare International Airport. While with
the FAA, she also worked in the fields of security liaison, regulatory
enforcement and investigations.
Petrowsky is a recent graduate of the Federal Executive Institute in
Charlottesville, Va.
