AeroVeritas and Ameco-Beijing Announce Commitment to Highest Quality Standards for Aviation MRO

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., July 17 /PRNewswire/ -- In reference to recent congressional concerns over outsourcing to foreign repair stations, AeroVeritas President Mark Mohelnitzky disagrees with blanket attacks leveled at foreign repair station quality and safety standards. "Our clients include both domestic and foreign repair stations, and our experience has shown that domestic repair stations do not have a monopoly on quality and safety simply due to their geographic location and FAA surveillance frequency."

As a former FAA inspector, Mr. Mohelnitzky has extensive experience with airline maintenance operations and repair stations, both domestic and abroad. "Low operational cost combined with high quality performance is no longer just a goal for MROs, it is a distinct market requirement and no one is more aware of this than foreign repair stations trying to attract business from the US airline market."

The recent cooperative commitment between AeroVeritas and Ameco-Beijing is another step towards ensuring the highest degree of aircraft maintenance quality and safety by two industry leaders. "Ameco-Beijing is uniquely capable of meeting the industry's highest quality standards, and AeroVeritas is proud to help ensure quality system strength, operational efficiency, and sustained profitability," Mr. Mohelnitzky commented earlier this week from New Zealand.

Ameco-Beijing, China's most comprehensive MRO, continues to reach new heights in quality and safety standards. Founded in 1989 as a joint venture between Air China and German carrier Lufthansa, Ameco-Beijing has achieved impressive results in cost reduction, increased operating efficiency, and integrity of service. Ameco-Beijing has nearly 4,000 employees and holds certificates from FAA, EASA, CAAC and 18 other airworthiness authorities.

As the largest aeronautical-engineering center in China, Ameco-Beijing services nearly all models of Boeing and Airbus aircraft, as well as Rolls- Royce, Pratt & Whitney and CFMI engines. Ameco-Beijing also provides repair and overhaul services for nearly 10,000 aircraft components including landing gears, wheels & brakes, hydraulics, pneumatics, composites and avionics/electrical items. While meeting and exceeding industry regulatory requirements, Ameco-Beijing is well positioned in the global MRO market.

With unwavering commitments to the highest aviation industry standards, AeroVeritas and Ameco-Beijing provide customers around the globe with exceptional quality and reliability combined with cost effective maintenance solutions.
