Global Material Solutions Announces MRO Agreement with JAT Tehnika

SINGAPORE, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SINGAPORE AIRSHOW -- JAT Tehnika and Pratt & Whitney entered into a non-exclusive MRO agreement for the complete portfolio of Global Material Solutions life-limited and gas-path parts for CFM56-3 engines. The agreement is valued at USD $11M for the initial five-year contract term with an optional five year extension. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) company.

"We are pleased to offer our customers new Pratt & Whitney manufactured parts for their CFM56 engines, providing the most reliable and cost-effective choice available," said Budimir Hinic, general manager of JAT Tehnika. "This agreement serves as the foundation of a relationship that we are confident will be successful." JAT Tehnika offers complete services for aircraft maintenance and servicing. Its technical centre is situated at the Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade, Serbia and is the only fully equipped technical centre in the region.

Global Material Solutions (GMS), which celebrated its two-year anniversary on Feb. 14, is an industry-revolutionizing initiative delivering Pratt & Whitney OEM-quality life-limited and gas-path parts for the CFM56-3 engine at a competitive price. All GMS parts are expected to be certified and enter service later this year.

United Technologies, based in Hartford, Conn., is a diversified company providing high technology products and services to the global aerospace and commercial building industries.
