USA Jet Airlines Names Danny Clifton, VP & Director of Operations

BELLEVILLE, Mich., Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Danny Clifton, a veteran of more than 30-years experience in military and civilian aviation, has been appointed Vice President and Director of Operations of USA Jet Airlines, a Part 121 certificated, air cargo and passenger airline that operates a fleet of owned and leased DC-9 and Falcon 20 aircraft. Clifton will be based at the company's headquarters in Belleville, Michigan.

The announcement was made by Christopher Healy, President and Chief Operating Officer of Active Aero Group, USA Jet Airlines' parent organization.

USA Jet Airlines is a diversified on-demand airline operating DC-9 and Dassault Falcon-20 aircraft in cargo and passenger configurations. The company provides air charter management for any size air cargo shipment using its owned and leased aircraft to meet customer requirements.

With its private passenger authority, the airline provides services to many NCAA sports teams, specialized vacation charters and passenger shuttles for large corporations. Additionally, it manages crews and maintains aircraft for the US government.

Prior to this appointment, Clifton served with Kitty Hawk Air Cargo at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport where he held a similar position for the past three years. He was a DC-9 and DC-8 line pilot and assistant Chief Pilot at ABX Air, Inc/Airborne Express before joining Kitty Hawk.

Clifton is retired from the US Air force, where his career included several years as a T-38 flight instructor and progressively increasing positions in the A-10 fighter community. These culminated in his appointment as Commander of an A-10 Fighter Squadron. His final commands were as Deputy Director, Conventional Operations & Training, followed by his appointment as Commander, Air Combat Command Training Support where he retired with the rank of Colonel. He is an Air Transport Pilot and is typed in both DC-9 and B-737 aircraft.

A graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Clifton will relocate to the Belleville area with his wife Priya and daughter, Alexsandra.

USA Jet Airlines and Active On-Demand, a multi-mode, time-critical transportation management system, are wholly owned subsidiaries of Active Aero Group, a privately held company also based in Belleville, MI, that provides global specialized freight transportation solutions for customers through its subsidiaries.
