Bedford New RAA Chair, New Staffer Okay’d

During its fall membership meeting, the Regional Airline Association (RAA) elected Bryan Bedford, chair, president, and chief executive officer of Republic Airways Holdings, to chair its 2007-08. Other officers elected were Vice Chair Rick Leach, Trans States Holdings; Treasurer Russ “Chip” Childs, SkyWest; and Secretary Dan Wolf, Cape Air.
Other Directors elected were: Peter Bowler, American Eagle; Steve Farrow, Piedmont Airlines; Dave Hackett, Gulfstream International Airlines; Tim Komberec, Empire Airlines; Joseph Randell, Air Canada Jazz; Jim Rankin, Air Wisconsin; David Reeve, Skyway Airlines; and Doug Voss, Great Lakes Airlines.
In adopting its 2008 budget, RAA’s Board approved adding an additional full-time staff professional to help manage a range of issues important to the regional airlines, including security, environmental, communications and business development.
