Republic Buys Back More Stock

Republic Airways Holdings agreed to purchase one million shares of its Common Stock, par value $.001 per share, from WexAir LLC, the company's former majority stockholder, at a price of $20.20 per share, for total consideration of $20,200,000. Settlement of the transaction is expected to occur on September 14, 2007. The company had previously purchased two million shares of its common from WexAir at a price of $19.20 per share or $38.4 million. The purchase was authorized under a previously announced $100 million share repurchase program.
