Jetpool has organized the Second Annual Future of Business Aviation Very Light Jet Show for March 7 and 8 at the Wilson Air Center in Charlotte, N.C. At the show, attendees will discover through static displays, exhibits and seminars how a VLJ can help them gain a competitive advantage, more effectively use the time of key employees, or simply improve quality of life, said show organizers.
Jetpool expects over 1,000 attendees, up from 600 last year at the two-day event. This year’s show features the top airframe manufacturers in the air taxi industry. “This show is an opportunity to see firsthand, over the course of two days, almost the entire light jet landscape,” said Ryan Stone, CEO and co-founder of Jetpool. “We want to apply our turnkey management expertise and affordable shared ownership program to simplify the VLJ ownership experience, enabling businesses and individuals to take full advantage of their aircraft.”
Doubling the number of exhibits from last year, aircraft and mock-ups will be presented by eight aircraft manufacturers: Cessna, Cirrus, Diamond, Eclipse, Embraer, Hawker Beechcraft, Piper, and Spectrum. Confirmed aviation support companies include Colt International, AvFuel, AirCell, and Winslow Liferaft. Virgin Galactic will also exhibit private space travel as they take business aviation to an even higher level.
“We are excited about being a supporter of the Future of Business Aviation Very Light Jet Show,” said Joe Leader, president of the Air Taxi Association (ATXA). “We made a commitment to align ourselves with the top next-generation air taxi and VLJ events worldwide. This event absolutely heightens awareness of the industry bringing together leading manufacturers, industry experts, and a large number of attendees.”
In addition to the exhibits, there will be seminars from leading industry experts designed for aviation consumers. Advocate Consulting, Air Taxi Association (ATXA), Bank of America, Berkley Aviation, Corporate Fleet Services, Jetpool, John F. Thorne & Co. Insurance Marketing, Riolo Law, VLJ Group, and others will speak on such matters as VLJ management, insurance, mentor pilots, shared ownership, legal, financing structures, and air taxi operations.
"The very light jet is the newest time machine for the busy corporate executive,” said Jim Dickerson, national market executive, Corporate Aircraft Finance at Bank of America. “As a national leader in financing private aircraft, Bank of America is very interested in the market for very light jets. We have established preferred lending relationships with several of the very light jet manufacturers and expect to be active in financing this exciting new generation of aircraft for our clients nationwide."
Supporting the Future of Business Aviation Very Light Jet Show, the Air Taxi Association (ATXA) is an alliance of next-generation air taxi providers that offer direct, on-demand flight service at greatly reduced prices.
