Chevron Global Aviation Offers Free Training for FBOs
Chevron Global Aviation is offering a new online training course designed for FBO employees that are new to the various quality assurance practices and procedures required in the aviation industry. The course targets personnel whose duties include line service, customer service and operations. Product Integrity 101, is available at no charge to Chevron and Texaco branded Fixed Based Operators (FBOs).
“Ongoing training is critical to the success of any FBO,” said Tom Stephens, manager, training & training development, Chevron Global Aviation. “For training to be beneficial, it needs to be interactive, engaging and accessible. Product Integrity 101 is designed to be all these things. It is part of a comprehensive training offering we make available to our FBO customers.”
Available in Q2 2008, Product Integrity 101 is a three-hour online course that covers the key elements of:
• Fuel receiving
• Fuel basics
• Product testing
• Fire and safety
• Dealing with incidents
• Contamination
• Quality assurance inspection and testing
• Product storage
• Documentation requirement
The course is offered through Chevron General Aviation’s TotalGA.com web site. The flexible solution does not require participants to take the class in one sitting. The program monitors progress and allows students to log-off and then pick-up their studies at a future date. Once completed, the student receives a certification of completion for their personal training records.
“The FBO market has become increasingly competitive,” said Lisa McCabe, president, Fort Collins-Loveland jetCenter. “For us to be consistently rated one of the nation’s top FBO’s, we need to offer world class service. Chevron’s training courses have played a significant role in our ongoing training. The new course is another example of their firm commitment to their customer’s business success.”
Chevron is committed to providing expert training classes to the FBO market. Product Integrity 101 is the second computer-based training (CBT) course offered on TotalGA. The first CBT course, Aviation 101, focuses on the basics of airport and ramp operations. The training is designed to provide Customer Service and Line Service Representatives the necessary skills to run efficient and customer service oriented operations. Additionally, Chevron offers three free and one paid in-class training sessions on customer service and FBO operations.
