Rotorcraft Report: Blue Sky Network Connects in Spain

PRODUCTS/AVIONICS

Blue Sky Network has sealed a deal for Spain’s Helicsa Helicopters to market its communications and tracking systems in that country and throughout Europe. As part of the deal, Helicsa has installed Blue Sky’s C1000, C1000A, and D1000 modems in its Eurocopter EC135T2s, AS365N2s and N3s, BO105s, and BK117s and Sikorsky Aircraft S-61N.

A member of the INAER Group, which operates more than 120 aircraft in Spain, Italy, Portugal and Chile, Helicsa is a European leader for onshore operations. It has multiple key locations throughout Spain.

La Jolla, Calif.-based Blue Sky offers voice, two-way messaging and flight-tracking services through the Iridium satellite network.
