The U.S. subsidiaries of SEI Servizi Elicotterisitici Italiani SpA, and Aerolite Max Bucher AG are collaborating on the development and marketing of EMS interiors for operators of AgustaWestland AW109s and AW139s.
SEI of America Corp. and Aerolite America LLC will collaborate on the effort. SEI is an Italian aerospace company that is part of the Mecaer Group and a leader in helicopter completions and MRO services. Aerolite is a leading designer and manufacturer of helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft EMS and interior components solutions.
"We are very pleased that Aerolite has chosen to cooperate with SEI of America," said Armando Sassoli, general manager of business development for the Mecaer Group. "We decided to open a completion facility in the Northeastern corridor of the U.S. and Philadelphia was a natural choice to support our helicopter operators more closely." SEI of America holds a FAR Part 145 repair station certificate. "The EMS expertise of Aerolite will enhance our opportunities to enter the EMS completion market in the U.S."
Aerolite Vice President Walter Weiler said: "This agreement with SEI of America makes good business sense as we can cooperate with a completion center that has a lot of experience with AgustaWestland."
