Texas Public Safety AStars to Get Chelton EFIS

Texas's Public Safety Dept. will use the Chelton Flight Systems Synthetic Vision EFIS on its most recently ordered Eurocopter AS350B2 AStars. Each of the five aircraft are to be outfitted with the electronic flight instrumentation system's primary flight display, multi-function display, air data and attitude reference heading system, and GPS. The system also is to include WSI Corp. weather and a helicopter terrain awareness and warning system. Metro Aviation, based in Shreveport, La., is completing the aircraft. Metro is a Chelton dealer.
