The Topeka, Kansas City Council is set to revisit its decision to acquire a second police R44 over the objections of the mayor and a local prosecutor,
The Capitol-Journal newspaper reports. The reconsideration comes after a city lawyer reported possible flaws in the $820,000 contract for the law enforcement-equipped Robinson Helicopter aircraft. That follows vetoes of the proposed acquisition by Topeka’s mayor, which the council maneuvered around, and a lawsuit by Shawnee County district attorney over how the council's maneuvers.
