VIH to Aid Angola Elections

VIH Helicopters Ltd. has won a six-month, multi-million-dollar contract to help Angola hold its first national elections in 16 years, The Vancouver Sun reports. Six helicopters from Vancouver, British Columbia-based VIH are to be used for pre-election and post-election transportation work. The southwestern African nation has scheduled elections for Sept. 5. The helicopters are to be used to fly international observers throughout the country and to help set up polling booths before the election. Some helicopters will fly to remote communities and offshore oil rigs to serve as mobile polling stations. For related news
