Australian Prime Minister John Howard is warning Australians to prepare for a "menacing summer." The prime minister said the ongoing drought throughout Australia had placed the country at extreme risk of bushfires. "It is going to be a very, very difficult summer," he said at the burnt-out Winifred Curtis Reserve in Scamander, Tasmania.
