U.K., CAE Expand Joint Training

The U.K. Defence Ministry and CAE are building the capability for multiple crews and helicopters to train jointly. They plan to link the Royal Air Force's Medium Support Helicopter Aircrew Training Facility built by CAE to the nation's high-speed JMNIAN secure data highway. That would allow Chinook, Merlin and Puma aircrews training at the facility at RAF Benson to participate in networked training and mission rehearsal exercises with U.K. defence forces at bases around the country. CAE is already providing distributed mission training on-site at the facility for U.K. helicopter aircrews in the form of exercises called "Thursday Wars." For related news
