Thales FMS for Airbus
EADS/Airbus Industrie has approved the Thales Avionics (formerly Thomson-CSF Sextant) FMS2 second-generation flight management system for A320 and A340 aircraft. The FMS2, which was developed in cooperation with Smiths Industries, was delivered in the LO standard software version, which performs navigation, flight plan management, and guidance functions.
