Korry Electronics Co.: Houston, President
Frank Houston has been named president of Seattle-based Korry Electronics, succeeding Alan Cornell, who is now head of European operations for Korry’s parent company, Esterline Technologies. Houston returns to Korry following three years as president of Esterline’s Advanced Input Devices, in Coer d’Alene, Idaho. CMC Electronics Inc.: Atac, Vice President
The founder and former chief executive officer of Flight Visions Inc., Robert Atac, has been named vice president in charge of military aviation business at CMC Electronics Inc. CMC acquired Flight Visions in July 2002. Atac oversees operations in Sugar Grove, Ill., home of Flight Visions; Ottawa, Ontario; and the UK. He launched Flight Visions in 1986. Frequentis USA Inc.: Pfister, President
Robert Pfister leaves his post as vice president of business development at Frequentis USA Inc. to become the company’s president, succeeding David Mahan. He and Robert Nitsch, senior vice president, have been tasked to transform the Rockville, Md.-based company, launched in 1999, into an autonomous U.S. subsidiary of Frequentis GmbH, in Vienna, Austria. In addition, Frequentis USA’s board of directors has been restructured in accordance with the U.S. Special Security Agreement, making the company eligible to compete in the U.S. military market. At its 15th session, the Eurocontrol Council re-elected Mikko Talvitie (Finland) president for another year and re-elected Andre Auer (Switzerland) and Laszlo Kiss (Hungary) as vice presidents for a further two years. In addition, the council elected Michel Wachenheim (France) as vice president for two years and Ole Asmussen, director general of Civil Aviation of Denmark, as chairman of the regulatory committee. Aircraft Electronics Association: Adamson, Training & Education Director
The Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) has named Mike Adamson director of training and education. He formerly served as executive director of the AEA Education Foundation and will continue directing that organization. CAE SimuFlite: New Officials
CAE SimuFlite, based at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, has named four new managers. Mark Malkosky, previously manager of Learjet maintenance training programs for Bombardier Aerospace, joins CAE SimuFlite as senior manager, technical training. The company also has appointed three new regional sales managers. Jim Clark, formerly chief instructor for CAE’s Gulfstream II/III program, will manage sales in the northwest region of the United States; Christopher Hipps, previously with Datacolor International, will cover the mid-Atlantic region; and Jeff Stahl will handle the southeast region.
