The Republic of Singapore Air Force will use Rockwell Collins’ integrated avionics communication/navigation/surveillance and air traffic (CNS/ATM) services on its C-130 fleet, the company said this week. Financial terms were not disclosed. Under the contract, Rockwell Collins will provide the avionics upgrades for Singapore’s 10 C-130 aircraft. The program includes Rockwell Collins Flight2 avionics, which the company says will augment and enhance aircraft operational capabilities by providing an open systems architecture that integrates flight operations with navigation and guidance functions and supports future growth requirements. This upgrade offers customers access to civil airspace by providing required navigation performance compliance and will support growth to controller pilot data link communication.
