Real-Time Innovations (RTI) said it won a $600,000 Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase II contract by the Naval Air Systems (NAVAIR) Command to research upgrades to the Navy’s E-2C Hawkeye. RTI, based in Santa Clara, Calif., will research technologies relevant to an ongoing comprehensive upgrade to the Navy E-2C Hawkeye weapons system. The E-2C Hawkeye is a tactical airborne early-warning system that provides a carrier-based platform for identifying and analyzing threats, coordinating surveillance and directing countermeasures in defensive roles.
