Israel-based Elbit Systems said its subsidiary Elbit Systems Electro-Optics (Elop) won a $37 million contract from an unnamed foreign customer to supply electro-optical (EO) payloads for attack and utility helicopters. The company said the multi-year project includes logistics support and has an overall potential value of more than $100 million. Under terms of the contract, Elbit will supply its Compact Multi Purpose Advanced Stabilized System, a digital targeting and surveillance payload. The system is equipped with a suite of EO sensors, including a diode pumped laser designator and a long-range zoom forward-looking infrared. For related news
