Emirates-CAE Flight Training (ECFT) received international accreditation for its Gulfstream 550/450 business jet training programs. Emirates-CAE, which is located near the Dubai International Airport and operated jointly between the Canadian simulator company and Emirates group, said the Gulfstream G550 full-flight simulator (FFS) has been successfully qualified to Level D, the highest accreditation for a full-flight simulator, by the European Joint Airworthiness Authority, the FAA and the United Arab Emirates’ General Civil Aviation Authority. Gulfstream operators in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East are being offered a range of training programs at ECFT for flight and maintenance crews. The JAA and FAA have already approved the ECFT’s training programs for the Gulfstream IV and V, Hawker 800/800XP, Boeing Business Jet and Airbus Corporate Jet, the companies said. The G550/450 training will include CAE Simfinity, a suite of training devices, which use the same simulation software found in CAE’s full-flight simulators. The CAE Simfinity Virtual Simulator and CAE Simfinity 3-Dimensional IPT replicate the avionics using Honeywell PC-based re-host of the Plane View graphical display and Flight Management System software.
