David Clark
InterSense, of Bedford, Mass., named David Clark as European sales manager. In this role, Clark will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the European partner channel, focusing on the leading systems integrators serving the display and military simulation and training industries.
With more than 10 years experience in the defense and virtual reality markets, Clark has held several senior-level sales positions at European-based companies, overseeing sales teams, meeting revenue goals and implementing tactical marketing activities.
Most recently, Clark served as director and business development manager at Virtalis Ltd., where in addition to managing the company’s annual revenue production, he supervised key installation services and resources for the company’s virtual reality systems.
Clark has also held sales and marketing positions with AimTech, Superscape VR and Virtual Presence Ltd., was a production engineer with British Oxygen and served as a British Army diver for six years.
Chris Poling
United Electronic Industries, Canton, Mass., appointed Chris Poling director of sales. Poling will be in charge of all direct sales staff as well as managing the company’s network of manufacturers’ representatives.
Prior to joining UEI, Poling was with Data Translation Corp., serving in a variety of sales, sales management and software design roles. Before that, he was at IBM where he served as a process engineer and production manager.
Timothy Maxwell
AirCell named Timothy Maxwell vice president, brand and member marketing. He is responsible for driving all aspects of AirCell’s marketing and business activities.
Prior to joining AirCell, he was chief marketing officer for Telegate AG, an European telecom services company. Earlier in his career, Maxwell held positions of increasing responsibility with Kraft General Foods, Ameritech and Motorola.
Terry Markovich
TrueNorth Avionics, Ottawa, Canada, named Terry Markovich vice president of product development.
Markovich’s responsibilities include implementing the support structure for the existing TrueNorth Simphon product line and new product development.
Markovich started his 30-year aviation career with Atlantic Aviation in Houston. His span in aviation included 23 years with Duncan Aviation as the facility manager for various Duncan Avionics satellite locations. He was most recently the facility manager for Duncan Avionics in Teterboro, N.J.
William L. Helliwell
Avionics & Systems Integration Group, Little Rock, Ark., named William L. Helliwell manager of engineering and programs.
Helliwell has 25 years of experience in the aerospace industry, including time in the U.S. Air Force. He is also a FAA Airframe & Powerplant license holder.
Helliwell’s experience includes senior positions with Air Transport International and E-systems.
Laurent Mares
Aonix, based in Paris, named Laurent Mares vice president of sales for European operations.
Mares has more than 15 years of international sales management expertise in the global embedded technology market. Mares was most recently with Thales Computers, where he directed sales for Europe and Asia. He set up and developed Thales’ export sales and network of international distributors, driving the company to new heights in market reach and revenue.
Bob Hala
Flight Display Systems, an Alpharetta, Ga.-based manufacturer of inflight entertainment equipment for private and corporate aircraft, named Bob Hala as Southeast regional sales manager.
Hala came to Flight Display Systems from PDK Flight Academy in Atlanta. He is a certified flight instructor with commercial and multi-engine ratings.
Hala previously was employed in Michigan as a product specialist for an entertainment-related electronics company. He served in the Army National Guard.
Mark Lange
International Communications Group (ICG) named Mark Lange manager of product sales. Lange will develop relationships with and provide support to the company’s service and completion centers.
Lange has 16 years of experience in the aviation industry. Prior to joining ICG, he was the senior design engineer for Gulfstream/GDAS and served as design/certification engineer for Avhar Services, working under contract with Raytheon Aircraft. He is experienced in the maintenances of a variety of business jets, including Hawker, Challenger, Falcon and Embraer Legacy.
Lange also served in the U.S. Navy.
Griffitts, Butero, Mahoney
Shadin Avionics, St. Louis Park, Minn., named Linda Griffitts regional sales manager for the western United States. Griffitts has more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience. Most recently, she was with Chelton Flight Systems.
The company also named Samantha Butero rotorcraft sales manager. A Shadin employee since May 2006, Butero previously held a position with Chelton Flight Systems and has spent more than 17 years in sales. She will assume responsibility for planning, developing and implementing customer relationships for Shadin’s rotorcraft product sales opportunities.
Terrence Mahoney will take over as customer service support manager. In his new position, Mahoney will manage customer support technicians within the customer service department. Prior to joining Shadin, he worked for the Minnesota Department of Defense as a civilian military technician.
