Boeing subsidiary Jeppesen and Qatar Airways finalized an agreement for Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) applications and data for the airline’s new Boeing 777 aircraft that will feature the Boeing Class 3 EFB. Jeppesen will also provide the airline, including the Royal Amiri Fleet, with its e-Link system so that charts and data can be accessed electronically by ground-based personnel. Jeppesen will help Qatar Airways implement an EFB program that includes Jeppesen’s terminal charts, airport moving map, onboard performance tool, a document viewer and the Jeppesen Data Distribution and Management system that administers software configuration management. Qatar Airways currently operates a fleet of 58 Airbus aircraft. During the Dubai Air Show, Qatar Airways ordered 30 Boeing 787s and five Boeing 777s.
