Swift Engineering, based in San Clemente, Calif., in conjunction with Northrop Grumman, completed another demonstration of the 4th generation Killer Bee tactical unmanned aerial vehicle (TUAV), the company said. During the demonstration, two Killer Bee TUAV’s were deployed to link remote ground squads. The two TUAV’s under control by a Swift Engineering ground station established a ground to air to air to ground network that extended Over-the-Horizon communications ranges. The company said this demonstration showed the aircraft’s effectiveness as a communication relay platform system keeping data, voice and C4 capabilities connected in rugged terrain with no runway.
