Teledyne Controls, based in El Segundo, Calif., signed an agreement with Mexican low-cost airline Interjet to provide its Flight Data Interface Management Unit (FDIMU) and Wireless GroundLink Quick Access Recorder (WQAR) to support Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) on its fleet of A320 aircraft. Teledyne said used together its FDIMU and Wireless GroundLink QAR will provide Interjet with an automated solution for data acquisition and retrieval. nstalled onboard Interjet’s A320 aircraft, the Teledyne FDIMU will perform the flight data acquisition, aircraft condition monitoring and recording functions, while the Wireless GroundLink system ensures the secure transmission of the data to the airline’s ground station for data processing and analysis. Teledyne said it will work with the airline to retrofit its classic fleet, while new A320 aircraft delivered by Airbus will be fitted with Teledyne’s FDIMU and Wireless GroundLink QAR.
