Sensis Corp., Syracuse, N.Y., was awarded a contract by the Airports Authority of India to expand its Advanced–Surface Movement Guidance and Control System (A-SMGCS) at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed. Sensis said the expanded A-SMGCS, which will include Multistatic Dependent Surveillance multilateration sensors and a second Surface Movement Radar, will provide surveillance coverage to address a terminal and runway expansion project. The system at the airport fuses data from multiple surveillance sources, including Sensis MDS, X-band radar and an ADS-B-based vehicle tracking system. For related news
