Alaska Airlines, British Airiways, Cathay Pacific, TUIfly and Virgin Blue have been added to the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Users Group, an airline-led industry working group formed to accelerate the use of biofuels in the aviation industry. The new members joined Boeing, Air France, Air New Zealand, All Nippon Airways, Cargolux, Gulf Air, Japan Airlines, KLM, SAS, Virgin Atlantic Airways and Honeywell in the group, which was formed in the fall of 2008. The group is working through the Roundtable for Sustainable Biofuels (RSB), an initiative consisting of environmental organizations, financiers, biofuel developers, petroleum companies, the transportation sector, research entities and governments.
