German airline Condor Berlin is adding Rockwell Collins in-flight information products to its fleet of Airbus A320s. The upgrades, which will occur between 2009 and 2011, include Rockwell Collins Airshow 4200 moving map and in-flight information system. "This is a terrific upgrade for Condor Berlin that will give their passengers a wealth of information about their flight path – from detailed 3-D maps, to information about locations along the way and at their destination," said Steve Timm, vice president and general manager, Information Management Systems for Rockwell Collins. "Today’s passengers like to feel connected and informed, and that’s why Airshow 4200 remains the industry standard moving map system for airlines worldwide." Features of the system include real-time 3-D day/night map views; customizable graphics and multimedia and world clocks.
