Rockwell Collins said last week that its HGS-6250 Head-Up Guidance System (HGS) has been certified for Gulfstream G450 and G550. The announcement was made at the National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA) convention and exhibition in Orlando, Fla. Rockwell Collins said the HGS-6250 will be standard equipment on Gulfstream G450, G550, G650, and optional equipment on the G250, G350 and G500. The HGS-6250 provides head-up guidance cues, and uses LCD and LED-based technology. Rockwell Collins said the system, when combined with live infrared imagery from the Gulfstream Enhanced Vision System, gives operators the flexibility to land more places, more often, in more weather conditions.
