Dubai Aerospace selected the Flight Data Interface Management Unit (FDIMU) from Teledyne Controls, of El Segundo, Calif., as a standard option for DAE’s new fleet of 70 Airbus A320s. The unit will be used for flight data acquisition, aircraft condition monitoring and data recording. Teledyne said the system includes mandatory data acquisition and a fully programmable ACMS (Aircraft Condition Monitoring System) with recording functions and processing capability. It is available for installation on the Airbus Single Aisle A319/A320/A321 and Long Range A330/A340 aircraft families, the company said.
