Sagem, based in Paris, will supply its flight data interface and managment unit (FDIMU) for Singapore-based Tiger Airways’ for 30 new Airbus A320 twinjets, plus 20 more on option.
The company said the FDIMU provides data used in reports that track aircraft status (engines and landing gear). Airlines use this data to improve maintenance scheduling, and reduce their fleet’s fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
