Lufthansa Systems signed a five-year contract with Thomas Cook Airlines to provide navigation charts and its Lido/RouteManual system.

“We were impressed by the very clear presentation and high quality of production of the Lido/RouteManual charts. This combined with a very competitive contract term made Lufthansa Systems the clear winner in a rigorous competition,” said Frank Pullman, managing director at Thomas Cook Airlines.

Lufthansa Systems’ navigation charts are generated directly from its Lido navigation database. The charts include true-to-scale geographic information such as terrain features and rivers. They also include airport taxiway charts, approach and take-off charts, and a worldwide route chart.

Manchester, U.K.-based based Thomas Cook Airlines operates a fleet of 44 Airbus and Boeing aircraft from 19 U.K. airports to short, medium to long-haul destinations.
