Rockwell Collins, as part of the F-22 Communications, Navigation and Identification (CNI) Depot Partnering Activation team, achieved two program milestones that will enable Warner Robins Air Logistics Center (WRALC) to become the depot-level maintenance and repair location of F-22 CNI avionics, according to the company.
The most recent demonstrations included the completion of the 1-Channel Receiver and 5-Channel Receiver repair capability and proved the ability of depot personnel to successfully troubleshoot and repair F-22 aircraft utilizing the Rockwell Collins-developed test program sets. Personnel correctly identified the failing subassemblies, enabling successful repair using the repair manual and spares kit. The demonstration constitutes the depot’s first repair of this Rockwell Collins equipment.
