Rockwell Collins said Tuesday its Ascend Aircraft Information Manager (AIM) data transfer and management system has been certified for the Dassault Falcon 2000, Hawker Beechcraft B300 Series King Air and the Piaggio Avanti II P-180.
The Ascend AIM allows uploads of flight-critical database updates and the automatic transfer of post-flight maintenance information via available Wi-Fi or cellular links to and from the Ascend Data Center. Rockwell Collins’ AIM system is compatible with Pro Line 4, Pro Line 21 and Pro Line Fusion-equipped aircraft.
“The time-consuming tasks of updating the aircraft and retrieving maintenance reports are now securely performed by AIM, giving flight crews the flexibility to focus on other flight critical tasks,” said Steve Timm, vice president and general manager of flight information solutions for Rockwell Collins.
Rockwell Collins expects to announce additional AIM certifications for Cessna CJ1+, CJ2+ CJ3 and Raytheon Premier I/IA aircraft later this year.
