Row 44 surpassed 350 aircraft installed with its in-flight Wi-Fi system, the company said Wednesday.

The Westlake Village, Calif.-based manufacturer also announced an increase in its satellite capacity over North America, Southern Europe and North Africa — doubling its number of active satellite transponders.

“This installation milestone is quite significant as it makes Row 44 by far the world’s most widely deployed satellite-based inflight WiFi service,” said John LaValle, CEO of Row 44. “We have experienced tremendous growth in 2012. Increasing the network’s satellite transponders over these regions will result in an expansion of bandwidth, which translates to a reliable broadband experience for customers using the service in these areas.”
