Panasonic Avionics has a new 10-year contract to provide technical support services for AeroMexico’s fleet of 737-800 BSI aircraft.
The Lake Forest, Calif.-based avionics supplier said the contract requires it to provide unlimited spares and repairs for atotal of 10 737-800 aircraft equipped with Panasonic’s eX1 in-flight entertainment system system.
The ex1 is an Ethernet-based IFE system that uses a server-network-client architecture to deliver a 1000 Mbps network to passengers.
“At Aeromexico we strive to provide an improved flight experience and state of the art entertainment in collaboration with leading technology partners. We are very proud to feature Panasonic’s highly innovative equipment in our fleet and count on their support and service as part of this new alliance,” said Raul Saenz, chief operating officer at AeroMexico.
