Northrop Grumman Appointments
Northrop Grumman announced a series of management changes in its Aerospace and Electronic Systems divisions.
Linda A. Mills was named corporate vice president, Operations. She currently is corporate vice president and president of the Information Systems sector. Earlier, Mills was president of Northrop Grumman’s former IT sector’s Civilian Agencies business group.
Thomas E. Vice was named corporate vice president and president of the Aerospace Systems sector. He currently is corporate vice president and president of the company’s Technical Services sector. Vice also has served as sector vice president and general manager of the Battle Management and Engagement Systems division for Northrop Grumman Corporation’s Aerospace Systems sector.
Gloria A. Flach will become corporate vice president and president of the Electronic Systems sector. She was corporate vice president and president of Enterprise Shared Services. Previously she was vice president and general manager of the Targeting Systems division in the company’s Electronic Systems sector.
Kathy J. Warden will become corporate vice president and president of the Information Systems sector. She most recently served as vice president and general manager of the Cyber Intelligence division in Information Systems. Prior to that, she was vice president for the Cyber and SIGINT business unit in the Information Systems sector’s Intelligence Systems division, where she led intelligence business in cyber, special access, and airborne intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
Greg Russell
Metron Aviation, based in Dulles, Va., appointed Greg Russell executive aviation advisor for the Asia Pacific region.
Russell joins Metron Aviation from Airservices Australia where he was CEO. He has more than 30 years of aviation experience. Prior to Airservices Australia, he was director of aviation at Sydney Airport and chief operating officer at Athens International Airport. Russell also was the general manager at Hazelton Airlines and held a range of management positions in public companies.
Conrad Theisen, Mike Warren
Elliott Aviation, based in Moline, Ill., promoted Conrad Theisen to avionics sales manager and Mike Warren to maintenance sales manager.
Theisen joined Elliott Aviation as an avionics technician in 1996 and has most recently served as senior project manager. Previously, he was also avionics modification manager and assistant avionics manager.
Warren joined Elliott Aviation as a line technician in 2006 and most recently was completions parts buyer for the paint and interior departments.
Edgar Orsi
Gulfstream Aerospace appointed Edgar Orsi as the general manager of Gulfstream Brazil, its recently opened service center in Sorocaba.
Most recently, Orsi spent seven years in São Paulo as South America Aftermarket Sales manager for Honeywell, selling avionics and mechanical systems and services to business and general aviation operators.
Previously, he was Honeywell’s on-site technical and program manager for two Embraer regional airliners, the ERJ 170 and ERJ 190 families, and he was Honeywell’s manager of marketing for air transport and business aviation in Latin America.
Allan Orsi, Tony Desmond
Duncan Aviation, of Lincoln, Neb., appointed Allan Orsi regional manager in Brazil. Orsi has been with Duncan Aviation since 2008. He has prior work experience with Honeywell, Embraer, Bosch and Aerostation.
The company also named Tony Desmond team leader of its Long Island, N.Y., business aircraft AOG Engine Rapid Response Team. Desmond has 22 years of aviation experience, most recently managing maintenance for five business aircraft as the owner of NexGen Aircraft Management and chief inspector with Executive Jet Management.
Daren Remmert
Pro Star Aviation, based in Londonderry, N.H., promoted Daren Remmert to avionics installation manager.
Remmert’s 30 years of aeronautical experience spans flight operations, aircraft maintenance and avionics starting with his service in the U.S. Air Force as an avionics technician. His avionics career includes all aspects of avionics operations from installations, to bench work, to management.
Bob Ferrante
Bob Ferrante was named vice president of the Microwave Solution of the Electronics Group of Crane Aerospace & Electronics. He is responsible for operations of all Electronics Group Microwave Solutions locations, including Beverly, Mass., Chandler, Ariz., West Caldwell, N.J. and San Jose, Costa Rica.
Ferrante has more than 30 years of experience in the defense electronics industry. Since 2003, Ferrante held the position of vice president, general manager for ITT Exelis Airborne Electronic Attack Division dedicated to high power RF countermeasures for air, sea and land platforms. Prior to ITT, he was vice president of program management for BAE/Cobham, program director for Lockheed Martin and manager of programs for Singer Link Simulation Systems.
