San Diego-based Schubach Aviation added a Cessna Citation II to its fleet, as it looks to expand its fleet and offer customers a mid-range jet with a cheaper price tag.

The Citation II has already entered service, equipped with an avionics upgrade package including a stand-alone Sandel EFIS upgrade and Garmin 430 GPS. The jet is also equipped with the Rockwell Collins airshow flight tracking application.

“This Citation II nicely fills a need among our light-jet customers with larger groups who want to stay within a more economic price point for private jet charter,” said Schubach Aviation President Henry Schubach. “It’s ideal for mid-range flights to places such as Cabo San Lucas, Denver and Portland.”
Jim Pankin, a former U.S. Marine Corps pilot who was recently appointed as the chief pilot at Schubach Aviation, will serve as captain of the newly acquired Citation II jet.
