Duncan Aviation certified the installation of an L-3 Communications Avionics Systems GH-3900.2 Electronic Standby Instrument System for Dassault Falcon 2000 and 2000EX aircraft. This multi-use Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) also includes a Securaplane standby instruments backup battery.
The installation was completed at Duncan Aviation’s Battle Creek, Mich., facility, supported by a sales, certification, engineering and production team that included members from across multiple Duncan Aviation locations.
The installation was completed in just over eight weeks and was done in conjunction with a Pro Line 4 to 21 upgrade. Through its Organization Designation Authorization (ODA), Duncan Aviation certified this new Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) in January of this year.
"This installation and certification really demonstrates the advantage our ODA team provides. It is truly remarkable that this STC, from application to certificate issuance, was accomplished in just 53 days," said Duncan Aviation’s Avionics Sales Representative Chad Ostertag. "This STC upgrades existing standby instrumentation from the original three units into one easy-to-read display and gives Falcon 2000 operators the last piece of glass for the popular Pro Line 21 retrofit."
