Embraer added new component suppliers for its next generation of E-Jets, as the airframe manufacturer looks to begin integrating more systems into the aircraft.
Rockwell Collins will provide the electronic controls and mechanical actuators for the horizontal stabilizer control system, and Moog will supply the flight control computers and other components of the fly-by-wire control system for the second generation E-Jets. Additionally, Liebherr has been selected to supply the control systems for the flaps and slats.
Embraer has targeted 2018 as the scheduled entry into service date for its next generation of E-Jets.
