WestJet Encore, WestJet’s newly launched Canadian regional carrier, has a new agreement with Lufthansa Technik to provide component support for its fleet of Bombardier Q400s.
Under the multi-year agreement, Lufthansa Technik is creating a new pool of Q400 components, while also providing maintenance for WestJet Encore’s current Q400 aircraft components. WestJet Encore has committed to purchasing 20 Q400s from Bombardier, with options for 25 additional aircraft.
"After a rigorous selection process we were convinced that Lufthansa Technik could offer us the high level of performance and reliability that we expect at a competitive price," said Roger McIntosh, vice president of technical operations at WestJet Encore.
