Aerospace technology provider Wyle has won a three-year $18.5 million contract to provide support for the U.S. Army’s fleet of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), the company said Friday.

Under the contract, Wyle will provide engineering and testing programs to identify deployable improvements on the Gray Eagle and an assortment of fixed wing aircraft including Beechcraft, Cessna and Gulfstream planes. According to Wyle, the fielded UAS and the equipment to support them are "aging faster than originally expected because of high use in the Afghanistan and Iraq war zones."
