[Avionics Today July 8, 2014] Skyservice Business Aviation has signed a five year agreement with Star Navigation Systems Group to add the Star Airborne Data Services (Star-ADS) aircraft tracking solution to its fleet of Learjet 45s.
Star Navigation estimates the contract to be worth $550,000 over five years, based on anticipated flight hours. Star’s ADS solution provides real time flight data transmission by adding its In-Flight Safety Monitoring System (ISMS) to the aircraft’s avionics bay, where it continuously monitors selected avionics systems.
"Our company is continuously looking at improving its operations and efficiency and more importantly, the safety of our passengers and clients. The STAR-ADS solution, with the precise data it continuously and globally provides, coupled with its analysis abilities, will enhance our performance, and assist us in monitoring the aircraft in real time. This will ensure better utilization of the aircraft and safety for the passenger," said Sam Cimone, president of Skyservice Business Aviation.
