[Avionics Today 08-06-2014] Elbit Systems, an international defense electronics company headquartered in Israel, reported its consolidated second quarter results for 2014. Revenues for this year’s second quarter were $702.6 million, as compared to $702.9 million in the second quarter of 2013. Net income amounted to $43.9 million, a drop from $49.6 million in the second quarter of 2013.
The slight rise in revenue can be attributed to several contracts Elbit won in the past few months, including two contracts awarded to its North American subsidiary, Elbit Systems of America. The American contract totaled $14.1 million, intended to support the upgrade of the U.S. Marine Corps’ Bell AH-1W attack helicopter fleet.
