[Avionics Today 08-14-2014] Elbit Systems, an Israel-based defense and electronics company, will supply an undisclosed Latin American country with command, control, computer and communications (C4I) systems. The $80 million contract with Elbit is part of the Army’s extensive modernization program designed to update systems for all echelons, from maneuvering forces to command headquarters, according to Elbit.
The communications network is intended to facilitate a common operational picture, aiding Land Forces during emergencies and natural disasters.
