[Avionics Today 08-14-14] Saudi Airlines has applied a Business Intelligence (BI) solution with Microsoft to analyze, visualize and share data in a unified way. The solution includes Microsoft SQL Server 2012, Power BI for Office 365, Windows Server 2012 and Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 and is part of a five-year overhaul of Saudi Airlines’ IT infrastructure to automate and integrate the airline’s planning, scheduling, marketing and sales divisions.
Since the implementation, Saudi Airlines says it’s seen improvement in operations, as the software pulls disparate data together from multiple sources. This allows the company to view dashboards, enterprise reports and customer reports on one platform and “tone” marketing and pricing strategies accordingly.
